Man against machine in music form

FEAR FACTORY are one of the longest serving industrial metal bands on the scene. The band, which officially started its career in 1990 under the now world-famous name, drew attention to itself early on. Stylistically, they presented themselves as highly individual early on and have maintained their basic direction to this day. Although influences from Rock, NuMetal or Alternative have come and gone over the years, the basic framework has always been stable. Because the sci-fi touch, which can also be found in the lyrics, is just as formative for the music. "Man against machine" is not only the name of the game in terms of content, but also the style, enriched with electronic elements, always exudes a cold, machine-like atmosphere.

Legendary albums, breaks and successful comebacks

While the debut album "Soul Of A Machine" (1992) aroused the first interest of the scene, "Demanufacture" (1995) at the latest was the final breakthrough. Not only did the album jump into the German album charts, but the hit "Replica" is still a long-running hit in metal clubs worldwide. Even though the style continues to evolve and death metal influences almost completely disappear, the band remains successful. "Obsolete" (1998) and "Digimortal" (2001) both scratch the Top 10 in Germany. FEAR FACTORY released further albums until "Transgression" (2005), which was followed by a longer break. In 2010 Burton C. Bell and Co. return with "Mechanize" and stay true to themselves.

An upheaval is approaching

2012 "The Industrialist" follows, before the band finally signs with metal giant Nuclear Blast Records. In 2015 they celebrate an official label debut with "Genexus" and the demand for FEAR FACTORY merch and shirts increases tremendously. But once again the band takes a longer break after numerous shows. Disputes dominate the headlines until singer Burton C. Bell announces to leave the band. But band head Dino Cazares doesn't see himself at the end of the road yet. Fans can be happy: With "Aggression Continuum" at least one more album with the characteristic vocals follows - of course there are brand new shirts and much more from FEAR FACTORY.
